Senior Group Controller

Senior Group Controller | Bonn Our client is seeking a Senior Group Controller to establish central governance for management accounting within a newly implemented SAP S/4HANA environment. You will own the standards, processes and quality of the group-wide monthly close, and lead the development of margin analysis across regions, functions and products. The role: Lead the monthly management accounting close for every region and legal entity, setting clear ownership and making sure key users are equipped to deliver. Take responsibility for how costs flow through the group, defining and documenting allocation cycles, settlements and master data standards. Build a more granular view of profitability by developing contribution margin reporting across several dimensions and introducing top-down cost distributions. Act as the point of contact for data accuracy, checking plausibility, explaining results to stakeholders and running ad hoc analyses. Supply the data behind group reporting and planning, working alongside Accounting, Data Analytics and the SAP CO configuration team. What you’ll need: Hands-on SAP CO knowledge across cost centre accounting, allocations and settlements, plus margin analysis (CO-PA) or product costing; S/4HANA exposure is a plus. A clear understanding of how financial and management accounting connect during month-end close. Experience working with consolidation and reporting platforms. Five or more years in controlling at an international organisation, preferably one with a matrix setup, backed by a business-related degree. The confidence to enforce group standards while building good working relationships with local finance teams. Fluent German and English. How to apply: Interested?
