Legal Counsel - Fund Services

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Asset Servicing Legal team in Dublin. This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of a complex and evolving asset servicing business, advising on a broad range of commercial, transactional and regulatory matters across custody, depositary, fund accounting, transfer agency and middle office services. Working closely with senior legal and business stakeholders, you will provide practical legal advice, support strategic initiatives and help manage legal risk across a diverse portfolio of products and services. Key Responsibilities • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and client contracts. • Advise on legal, regulatory and strategic matters impacting the asset servicing business. • Support business initiatives, new product developments and client transactions. • Partner with colleagues across Legal, Compliance, Risk and other control functions. • Identify, escalate and mitigate legal and regulatory risks. • Work closely with stakeholders across Ireland, EMEA and globally. • Manage external legal counsel where required. • Contribute to legal projects and broader business initiatives. Requirements • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister licensed to practise in Ireland. • Ideally 3–8 years' PQE, although strong candidates outside this range will be considered. • Experience gained within a leading law firm and/or a financial services organisation. • Strong commercial contracts and negotiation experience. • Experience within the funds, asset management, investment servicing or wider financial services sector. • Exposure to custody, depositary, transfer agency, fund accounting, middle office or related investment servicing activities are required. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong commercial judgement and pragmatic approach to problem solving. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
