About Origina
Origina is a rapidly growing global challenger technology company on a mission to stop unnecessary technology change by helping enterprises to extend, protect and enhance their software assets. We believe organisations should be free to run their systems for as long as they choose - without being pushed into costly, unwanted upgrades that don’t align with their strategy, so we step in to provide an alternative from the original vendor.
We’re scaling fast, with a clear path to €0.5 billion in the next five years, and expanding our presence across Europe, the US, and Australia. As a leading force in independent enterprise software support, we help the world’s largest organisations take back control of their technology roadmap and unlock genuine commercial freedom.
If you’re energised by growth, excited by change, and motivated to help customers challenge long-standing industry norms, this is the team to join. At Origina, you’ll be part of a bold, fast-moving global business where your impact will be felt immediately.
Role Purpose
The FP&A Manager leads the organisation’s planning and performance-management agenda and acts as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders. The role combines forward-looking analysis, commercial insight and constructive challenge to improve decisions, strengthen accountability and support delivery of strategic and financial objectives.
The role owns budgeting, rolling forecasting, long-range planning, KPI and performance analysis, scenario modelling, and Executive and Board reporting. Working across functions, the FP&A Manager turns financial and operational information into actionable recommendations, provides clear commercial guidance and helps leaders translate decisions into measurable actions and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, setting the timetable, standards and assumptions and ensuring accountable leaders provide robust, evidence-based submissions.
Lead long-range financial planning, establishing the planning framework, key assumptions, scenario requirements and governance needed to align financial priorities with organisational strategy and growth objectives.
Own the development and maintenance of financial models and scenarios that assess commercial opportunities, risks and strategic decisions, ensuring assumptions, sensitivities and outputs are robust, transparent and decision-oriented.
Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, quantifying variances and explaining the underlying financial and operational drivers.
Performance & KPI Management
Own the design and ongoing development of the organisation’s financial and operational KPI framework, ensuring measures have clear definitions, accountable owners and a direct link to strategic and financial objectives.
Diagnose organisational performance by identifying the operational and financial factors driving material trends, risks and opportunities and determining where management intervention is required.
Lead performance reviews with accountable stakeholders, ensuring material variances are understood, corrective actions are agreed and delivery is monitored through to resolution.
Develop and maintain financial and operational measures that provide early visibility of progress, risks and performance against strategic objectives.
Executive & Board Reporting
Own the preparation and delivery of timely, accurate and decision-focused management information for Executive and Board audiences, tailored to the governance and oversight requirements of each forum.
Distil complex financial and operational information into concise narratives that explain what has changed, why it matters and what decision or management response is required.
Develop reporting that highlights key performance drivers, risks, opportunities and areas requiring action.
Maintain consistent reporting definitions, reconciliations and review controls to protect the accuracy and integrity of management information.
Commercial Business Partnering
Act as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders and business functions, building strong relationships and trust, while ensuring clarity in all communications and commitments.
Provide financial insight, constructive challenge and commercial guidance to support decision-making.
Embed a culture of disciplined, value-adding spend by helping leaders assess expected returns, trade-offs and risks before committing resources, and by monitoring whether planned benefits are realised.
Management Information & Automation
Develop and automate management information and reporting processes using Power BI and other appropriate planning, analytics and visualisation tools.
Improve reporting quality, accessibility and efficiency by simplifying outputs, reducing manual intervention and enabling stakeholders to access trusted information when needed.
Partner with Finance, Technology and data teams to ensure reliable source data, governed reporting definitions and effective use of data warehouse and data lake environments.
Maintain a prioritised FP&A improvement roadmap covering tools, models, systems, controls and processes, with defined business benefits, delivery ownership and progress reporting.
Provide coaching, technical guidance and quality oversight to finance colleagues contributing to planning, analysis and management reporting, building capability and consistent standards across the team.
